A firm offering accounting and administrative services for businesses and individuals is looking for an experienced Accounting Technician who will be responsible for ensuring the proper accounting and administrative processing of clients, while performing various tasks for different clients.

Tasks

  • Accounting:
  • Perform data entry in accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Handle the complete accounting cycle (month-end closing, DAS).
  • Reconcile accounts payable with order forms.
  • Record employee payrolls for year-end reporting.
  • Handle hiring and termination notices.
  • Reconcile credit card transactions.
  • Make month-end entries.
  • Prepare monthly reports (government remittances, CCQ, DAS).
  • Support companies in any other accounting tasks as needed.
  • Administrative:
  • Update the equipment list for accounting and insurance (heavy machinery, tools, vehicles).
  • Enter order forms into the accounting system.
  • Update the inventory price list.
  • Provide support in any other accounting and administrative tasks (reporting, release, CNESST).

Job requirements

  • DEC in accounting or other relevant training.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as an accounting technician.
  • Experience in the construction industry.
  • Knowledge of the Acomba software.
  • Knowledge in human resources/ CNESST (an asset).
  • Bilingualism, especially spoken.
  • Advanced knowledge of the Office suite (especially Excel).
