With a 14/14 schedule, combine the joy of working in the woods, with room and board, while enjoying 2 weeks off per month for your personal projects. Our client is looking to contribute to Quebec’s progress by developing clean and renewable energy sources and by contributing to the establishment of a green and sustainable economy. Schedule: Day shift of 12 hrs for 2 weeks between 6:00 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. Time off for 2 weeks afterwards throughout the year. OR Day shift of 8 hrs, 5 days a week and have the weekend off, during the whole month.

Tasks

  • Check and maintain the condition of various hydroelectric machines in the factory.
  • Maintain employee residence buildings (changing light bulbs, snow shovelling, maintenance of the plumbing, the ventilation and the fire protection system, etc.).
  • Manage the small hardware of the camp.
  • Complete equipment inspection sheets and maintain the logbook up to date.
  • Complete reports of performed maintenance tasks.
  • Carefully read control panels and gauges during machine maintenance.
  • Collect drinking water samples on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other tasks related to the position.

Job requirements

  • You have your high school diploma (DES) AND a diploma in a relevant trade (carpenter joiner, plumber, electrician or refrigeration technician).
  • You have acquired 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • You have a class 5 driver’s license to move around the campsite.
  • You have taken an ASP construction course? That’s an asset!

  • Curious by nature, you find satisfaction in figuring out the solution to any problem.
  • When you see that repairs need to be done, you quickly take care of it.
