Salary: $85,000 per year + signing bonus of $5000 As a Dock Foreman, you will be in charge of a team of 10 forklift operators, primarily loading and unloading goods. What your team management experience has taught you is that when you have a close-knit team, you can lift mountains together! Our client is well established as a carrier across Canada! The new Dorval Dock Foreman will be responsible for ensuring consistent quality of services with his team during the evening shift, while being a point of main point of contact to our client.

Tasks

  • Manage your team made up of 10 forklift drivers.
  • Coordinate the loading and unloading operations of the freight.
  • Conduct regular team and individual meetings to share tasks, follow up on started tasks and performances.
  • Intervene in situations requiring solutions and decisions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's processes to always provide the best service.
  • Participate in loading and unloading operations when your team needs support.
  • Perform related tasks to assist your team.

Job requirements

  • You have at least 2 years of supervisory experience within an LTL terminal network.
  • You have excellent geographical knowledge of the Greater Montreal Area and Canada as a whole.
  • You have already driven electric forklifts, or any other related experience.

Desired profile

  • Extensive experience in loading both dry and temperature freight from coast to coast in Canada with different equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills are key for the efficient planning of dock operations.
  • A challenge seeker awarded with a sense of accomplishment from solving problems.
  • You are known to have a strong leadership spirit.
