Tasks

  • Inspect, repair, or replace defective cables and components in electrical installations.
  • Ensure the optimal performance of the electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems in the plant.
  • Conduct tests to verify the proper functioning of components and systems.
  • Identify and resolve issues related to electric motors, connection devices, and other equipment (diagnosis and repair).
  • Perform maintenance on machines and equipment in all departments.
  • Configure, program, and optimize automated systems.
  • Install and assemble windings for motors and transformers.
  • Prepare and update checklists for preventive maintenance and quality.
  • Write technical reports on operations and equipment performance.
  • Provide replacements during vacations or absences, covering different shifts (night, weekends, 12-hour shifts).
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in electromechanics.
  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Strong skills in electricity and mechanics.
  • C-Class electrical license (an asset).
  • Welding skills (an asset).

Desired profile

  • Ability to diagnose faults and apply appropriate corrective solutions.
  • Proficiency in testing and verifying various electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work on motor control and power circuits.
  • Skill in reading and interpreting plans, electrical diagrams, and technical manuals.
