Working for a growing company in the field of mechanical and electrical technology production is part of your skill set? You have experience in assembly? Are you ready to work as soon as possible? This job is for you! Our client, a successful company with over 50 years of experience in the geotechnical technology production market is looking for an Electronics/Fiber Optics Technician who will be responsible for the assembly and testing of several products, including electronic and fiber optic sensors and data acquisition systems. They will also be responsible for constantly looking for ways to improve production, quality, efficiency, and product operation and suggest these improvements to the engineering manager, and participate in the development and transfer of products between the engineering team and the production team.

Tasks

  • Assemble, test and calibrate products according to blueprints and work instructions.
  • Ensure that operating instructions for these products are followed at all times.
  • Perform maintenance on products returned by customers that may need to be repaired / modified / recalibrated.
  • Perform routine maintenance of facilities and equipment in accordance with the maintenance schedule established by Quality Assurance.
  • Maintain and properly file all required test and calibration records for future reference.
  • Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements

  • Excellent mechanical and electrical skills and experience.
  • Experience with fiber optic handling, termination, and splicing would be an advantage.
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Fluent in French.
