  • Participating in the development and innovation of new products in a simultaneous engineering environment.
  • Selecting, integrating and searching for components that meet company standards while keeping reliability and profitability in mind.
  • Maintaining PDP and simple and rigorous documentation at all stages of projects (testing, validation, performance).
  • Tracking and maintaining established timelines for each project.
  • Being responsible for the performance and integrity of the products designed.
  • Supporting the sales department with their requirements and suggest possible solutions.
  • Collaborating as a collective effort on the cost estimation process.
  • Establishing and encouraging the maintenance of corporate design standards.
  • Validating, guiding and approving new designs.
  • Providing the technical approval of new vendors as per established process.
  • Taking part in any other related tasks for the smooth running of projects.

Job requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree n Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Experience in electrical product design, an asset.
  • French/English bilingual.
  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec.
