One of our partners is looking for a competent and dynamic mechanic to live an unforgettable experience in a northern village of Nunavik, named Salluit. This person will be called upon primarily to maintain and repair John Deere and Caterpillar heavy equipment as well as Kenworth, MACK and Freightliner trucks.
Repair hydraulic systems.
Build and crimp hydraulic hoses.
Inspect and rebuild hydraulic cylinders.
Perform maintenance and inspections.
Replace various mechanical and hydraulic components, such as pivots, bearings, seals, cylinders, brakes, etc.
Replace tires and repair flat tires.
Perform repairs on 10-wheel trucks.
Carry out any other related tasks.
“Fly in Fly out" (42 days of work and 21 days of rest).

DEP in heavy equipment mechanics.
Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar position.
Good knowledge of hydraulic electricity, welding.
Experience on loaders and excavators required.
Good command of CAT and John Deere Service Advisor software.
Good knowledge of written and spoken French / Intermediate English.
Resourceful and autonomous.
Dynamic and positive attitude.
Ability to easily communicate and integrate into a group.
Good ability to work in cold weather and have an interest in nature.
