Tasks

  • Participate in the implementation of recruitment strategies and the evaluation of candidates by coordinating pre-employment testing (psychometric, physical, technical, etc.).
  • Complete the entire staffing cycle (from job posting to interviewing and onboarding) and verify the information required for hiring.
  • Observe employee training needs, coordinate training accordingly and evaluate the completed training process.
  • Develop tools to improve human resources practices and participate in human resources management activities.
  • Ensure a healthy and safe work environment by participating in discussions and activities on the subject with the OHS committee.
  • Ensure the updating and continuous improvement of OHS programs and compliance with current standards by assisting managers in communicating them to their teams.
  • Coordinate meetings related to human resources to support managers in the management of human resources and ensure clear internal communication.
  • Update employee files on a regular basis and manage vacations, sick leave, absences and special leaves according to the policy in effect.
  • Perform other related duties to ensure proper human resources management.

Job requirements

  • Have a background in human resources, career counseling, industrial relations or other relevant training.
  • A minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar role and sector (manufacturing or unionized environment).
  • Fluency in spoken and written French and an intermediate level of English.
  • Have a good knowledge of Quebec labour laws and standards.
  • Know and be comfortable using the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Being a member of the Ordre des CRHA or CRIA and having completed the OHS course are both assets.
