Our client is a leader in the manufacturing of various insulation and specialized products for both the Canadian and American market and manufacturers of equipment for public transit.
Tasks
Plan, organize, direct, and ensure that the day-to-day operations run smoothly in three different sites.
Manage people and divisions to ensure that they are meeting daily quotas and targets.
Manage client relationships in both Canada and the US and ensure that all orders are made on time and all the time to avoid costly production line delays.
Manage team; coach and mentor managers, engineers, and others to achieve common goals.
Make effective and sound decisions promptly and to stand by those decisions.
Prioritize the priorities of the day, week, and month.
Develop systems to optimize and effectively eliminate wastes and unproductive processes (using Kaizen principles).
Manage the P&L and Budget of the plant(s).
Carry out any other related tasks.

Must have Plant management experience.
Solid and strong business acumen and in the allocation of resources and finance.
Must have strong grasp of the occupational health and safety rules and legislation.
Ability to lead and create solid accountabilities throughout the plants.
Desired profile
Would have come from a metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.
Be strong minded, and authoritative in making swift and sound business decisions.
Be flexible to travel between three plants in Canada and the US.
