The company offering electrical and lighting products in the residential, commercial and industrial sectors around the world is looking for a person with good numerical skills to act as a Payroll Manager. Located in Pointe-Claire, this person will be charge for the payroll of over 150 employees across Canada.

Tasks

  • Process weekly payroll for syndicated and non-syndicated employees.
  • Do calculation sheets for the company and government benefits program.
  • Manage payroll department emails.
  • Reconcile and process government deduction remittances on a monthly basis.
  • Analyze salaries and compare variances with budget.
  • Update the employee vacation and sick bank on a regular basis.
  • Follow up commissions to be paid to representatives and agencies.
  • Prepare payroll adjustment entries.
  • Manage employee expense accounts on a monthly basis and ensure compliance with GST and QST tax laws.
  • Prepare T4 statements and balance salaries, deductions and all taxable items on the company's books.
  • Support credit department by analyzing employee cash sales each month.
  • Make all modifications to the payroll systems if necessary (Kronos and Nethris).
  • Be the contact person for all payroll related issues.
  • Support the HR department in all other related tasks to the position.

Job requirements

  • DCS or DVS in Accounting, Finance or the equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in the payroll field.
  • Extensive knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of Nethris and Oracle payroll software.
  • Knowledge of Kronos software (An asset).
  • Bilingualism in writing and speaking.
  • Knowledge of federal and provincial payroll laws and standards.
  • ACP certification (An asset).
