Payroll Technician

Tasks

• Process employee payroll with Dayforce.
• Keep employee attendance sheets for time off and overtime calculations.
• Prepare employee pay statements.
• Make employee payments as well as benefit payments.
• Complete and forward benefit and contribution forms and documents.
• Track accounting remittances for all pay processing.
• Prepare T4 slips.
• Be the point of contact for pay and benefits inquiries.
• Make pay month-end reports.
• Ensure software is updated and find ways to improve operational efficiency.
• Work in collaboration with the Director of Human Resources to support other departments on all pay related requests.

Job requirements

• DCS or DVS in Accounting, Finance or the equivalent.
• 3-5 years of payroll experience.
• Extensive knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel).
• Bilingualism, spoken and written.
• Experience with Ceridian Dayforce (an asset).
• ACP Certification (an asset).
