As the Quality Assurance Specialist, under the supervision of the Quality Director, you ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and certifications, including the SQF code and workplace safety. You play a key role in implementing and updating quality, food safety, and training programs. You ensure that quality exceeds expectations, as our partner aims for excellence rather than perfection, knowing there is always room for improvement.
Tasks
Verify daily inspection records of the quality team and production employees.
Organize internal audits (SQF certification, occupational health and safety audit, etc.).
Plan and manage external audits (SQF certification, CNESST, client audit, etc.) and respond to auditors.
Address non-conformities and conduct root cause investigations.
Implement corrective actions and perform necessary follow-ups.
Maintain the quality system, including verifying forms and plant inspections.
Maintain and update training programs and schedules.
Supervise the application of 6S methods, total quality management, problem-solving, and continuous improvement.
Participate in maintaining the SQF system, including verifying forms and attending SQF committee meetings.
Perform any other tasks related to quality excellence.

Job requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree in quality management and assurance.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality control, specifically in the plastics industry.
Knowledge of standards: Good mastery of GMP, SQF, and HACCP processes and standards.
Computer skills: Intermediate level with MS Office suite.
Technical skills: Ability in configuring, reading, and interpreting measuring instruments.
Communication skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills.
