In this position, you will use your expertise to rigorously manage the tax obligations of our Canadian and U.S. subsidiaries. Working closely with the Director of Corporate Tax, you will contribute to optimizing tax compliance and participate in various strategic projects. This interim role allows you to tackle technical challenges while utilizing your expertise in a dynamic and stimulating environment.
Tasks
Ensure Canadian and U.S. tax compliance, including preparing tax returns.
Participate in the preparation of Canadian tax returns, including all relevant schedules (R&D, provincial allocations, etc.), as well as the calculation of installment payments and tax audits.
Contribute to the preparation of U.S. tax returns in collaboration with U.S. divisions.
Collaborate on tax provisions, including the monthly, quarterly, and annual calculation of current and deferred taxes for both Canada and the U.S.
Participate in various special projects such as corporate reorganizations, mergers, acquisitions, or liquidations.
Maintain and reconcile tax accounts (G/L) for the head office and subsidiaries on a monthly basis.
Assist with transfer pricing management, tracking ACB, CbCR compliance, sales tax monitoring, and government budgets in relation to the divisions.
Perform any other related tasks to support the company’s tax and accounting operations.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business administration and a required tax specialist diploma.
Recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA, CGA, or CMA).
Postgraduate diploma in taxation or completed In-Depth Tax Course (or in progress).
Interest or experience in U.S. taxation is considered an asset.
Minimum of 5 years of tax experience.
Excellent command of French and English, both spoken and written.
Strong knowledge of office software (MS Office) and tax software (Taxprep).
