Our client, a leader in IT solutions with over 40 offices across Canada, is seeking a vCIO (Virtual Chief Information Officer) to join their team. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality managed services. By working closely with the client's executive team, you will be responsible for thoroughly understanding their technological and business needs in order to provide tailored solutions. As a vCIO, you will leverage your expertise to advise clients and perform duties comparable to those of a traditional CIO, while also focusing on building strong and lasting business relationships with them.

Tasks

  • Identify and understand the client's short- and long-term business objectives, and develop strategies aligned with these goals while adhering to budget constraints.
  • Define strategic objectives for information technology.
  • Develop the IT budget and assess potential risks.
  • Review and enhance operational processes while facilitating technological transitions.
  • Ensure proactive and appropriate upgrades to IT infrastructure.
  • Provide data-driven recommendations to maximize impact for clients.
  • Improve business processes and support technological modernization initiatives for managed services clients.
  • Drive the growth of recurring revenues, projects, and subscriptions within the client portfolio.
  • Build business relationships focused on trust and long-term retention.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to design and update technical standards, thereby reducing client risk and minimizing reactive support needs.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in client-oriented technology sales or as a consultant.
  • At least 3 years of experience in system administration and/or Level 3 technical support.
  • Bilingual proficiency in both spoken and written French and English.
  • Experience in preparing IT budgets and analyzing costs.
  • Ability to align IT systems with business objectives (IT project planning and management).
  • Excellent understanding of technological trends that could impact clients.
  • Deep knowledge of best technological practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of standard office applications and associated tools.
