As they continue to grow, they are seeking an experienced Field Operations Supervisor for their new operations in their Burns Lake, BC operations.
Les tâches
Overseeing and supervising logging and road construction as well as maintenance contractors.
Implementing company wide safety, environmental and forest certification plans.
Ensuring that government regulations are met.
Being responsible for liaison with Government, community and First Nation community.
Managing monthly and annual work scheduling and corresponding budget preparation.
Negotiating on Contractor rates for logging and road maintenance contracts.
Assisting in coordinating forestry and silviculture activities.
Carrying out any other similar tasks.

Exigences du poste
Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Forestry or a closely related natural resource field.
Registered (or eligible for registration) as a Forest Professional with the Association of BC Forest Professionals.
Minimum 5 years of relevant field experience.
Proficient in basic business and forestry software.
Interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be able to work independently and in a team environment.
A sound understanding of what is fundamentally required for safe, productive and environmentally effective forest operations.
