We’re seeking a seasoned Human Resource Generalist to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in fostering a positive work environment while supporting the company’s strategic goals. Our client is a national leader in the sale and rental of heavy equipment. They also provide parts and services for all major brands in the industry, delivering exceptional customer experiences across Canada. They are currently looking for a bilingual HR Generalist to join their Mississauga team.

Les tâches

  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement HR policies and practices that align with business objectives and promote organizational growth.
  • Manage complex employee relations issues, including conducting thorough investigations and ensuring resolutions comply with legal requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, reducing legal risk across all HR functions.
  • Foster strong work relationships with employees and management to boost morale, productivity, and retention.
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and forecast future staffing needs.
  • Handle workplace complaints involving harassment, discrimination, and misconduct; lead investigations and administer appropriate disciplinary actions.
  • Prepare and present monthly HR reports and statistical data to support management decision-making.
  • Maintain accurate employee records to ensure payroll and benefits data integrity.
  • Conduct exit interviews to provide insights into retention improvement strategies.
  • Audit timekeeping records to ensure accuracy for payroll processing.
  • Manage benefits administration, including new hires, terminations, leaves of absence, and updates with benefit providers.
  • Coordinate and distribute employee recognition awards as part of the service recognition program.
  • Perform other related HR duties as assigned.

Exigences du poste

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in a senior HR role, ideally in a fast-paced, multi-regional environment.
  • Prior experience from heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Canadian employment laws and proven compliance track record.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
  • Working towards CHRL designation is an asset.
  • Prior labor relations experience is an asset.

  • High level of autonomy and self-motivation and ability to lead project to a successful completion.
  • Strong organizational, planning and time management skills.
