Evening Shift, from 3 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., full time
One of our clients located in Brampton area is looking for hire Dock Manager for their facility. Our client is a growing transportation company and processing food products for chain of grocery stores all over Ontario.
Les tâches
Plan, organize and control various activities relating to loading and unloading of freight.
Plan daily manpower needs to ensure customers’ freight is delivered on time and damage free.
Communicate with dispatch and with dock workers to coordinate the movement of trailers and freight.
Conduct pre-shift meetings/briefings to communicate values, strategies, and company objectives.
Prioritize transfer freight and next-day delivery.
Ensure the timely and efficient movement of freight daily.
Supervise, coach, train and develop Dock Foremen and dockworkers.
Prepare and issue shift reports to all relevant personnel.
Deal with employee-related issues such as reviews and discipline.
Enforce Health and Safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Carry out any other responsibilities required for the position.

Exigences du poste
Minimum 2-3 years of proven work experience as a Dock Manager.
Knowledge of RF scanners.
Valid forklift license (Counterbalance).
Knowledge of safe work practices.
