Would you like to join a well-established Quebec-based company operating in the real estate sector and contribute to the financial management of multiple entities? Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and autonomous Accountant to play a key role within its team.

Tasks

  • Record accounting entries and intercompany transactions.
  • Participate in the full accounting cycle, including month-end closings.
  • Perform bank reconciliations and ensure proper monitoring of various accounts.
  • Prepare internal financial statements and various management reports.
  • Produce required government filings and forms.
  • Process government remittances and recurring payments.
  • Manage the accounting activities of a portfolio of commercial properties.
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure the accuracy of financial information.
  • Contribute to the improvement and optimization of accounting processes.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • DEC, AEC, certificate, or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the full accounting cycle.
  • Experience with journal entries, bank reconciliations, and month-end closings.
  • Advanced French and functional English to serve English-speaking clients (approximately 20% of the time).
  • Experience in the real estate industry or in a multi-entity environment (strong asset).
  • Strong proficiency in Excel.
  • Knowledge of property management software (asset).
