Our client, a well-established and growing Quebec-based company, is seeking an Accounting Technician to join its team. Reporting to the Accounting Department, you will play a key role in managing accounts receivable, processing payroll, and supporting financial operations. Tasks
Prepare customer invoices and follow up on collections.
Apply customer payments and prepare deposits.
Follow up with clients regarding overdue accounts.
Open and maintain customer account records.
Reconcile discrepancies and make necessary account adjustments.
Prepare and process payroll in accordance with established deadlines.
Review timesheets, vacation balances, leaves, and other payroll-related information.
Process payroll corrections as required.
Prepare and submit government remittances.
Produce T4 slips, RL-1 slips, and other payroll-related documents.
Participate in month-end activities, account reconciliations, and balance verifications.
Collaborate with Human Resources regarding employee changes affecting payroll.
Maintain up-to-date accounting records and contribute to process improvements.
Perform all other related duties.

Job requirements
DEP, AEC, or DEC in Accounting, or other relevant education.
Experience in accounts receivable, payroll administration, or a similar role.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
Knowledge of Acomba or a comparable accounting software.
