Our client, a well-established and recognized company in its industry, is seeking an Accounts Payable Manager to join their Finance team. This opportunity is intended for a professional with solid accounting experience and strong leadership skills, enabling them to support a high-performing team in a dynamic environment. Reporting to the Finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing all accounts payable activities while ensuring operational efficiency, process compliance, and high-quality service to both internal and external partners. Tasks

  • Oversee daily operations of the accounts payable department.
  • Lead, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, financial procedures, and internal controls.
  • Ensure accuracy of payments and adherence to deadlines.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure process efficiency.
  • Maintain professional relationships with suppliers and external partners.
  • Participate in audits and respond to stakeholder information requests.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Support the team in analyzing and resolving complex issues.
  • Provide professional and efficient service to internal and external clients.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements

  • Degree in accounting or equivalent, with several years of experience in a similar role.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Experience in team management and supervision.
  • Bilingualism in French and English required to communicate with English-speaking suppliers (approximately 40% of the time).
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and accounts payable processes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel.
  • Experience in a technology-driven and automated environment.
