Auto Body Technician – Relocation to the Gaspesie Region

41 hours per week: Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Closed work permit holders are welcome — we will manage and fully cover the renewal process! Paid relocation assistance is also provided. Do you have recognized auto body repair training completed in Canada or abroad? Our client is looking for an experienced professional with strong knowledge of auto body repair and vehicle reconstruction. This position involves hands-on structural work, including dent repair, metal panel replacement, frame repair, steel and aluminum welding, component alignment and surface preparation. You will work directly on vehicle bodies, dismantling, repairing, replacing and restoring damaged auto body components with precision. Tasks

  • Assess vehicle auto body repair, maintenance and restoration requirements.
  • Plan and perform repair work.
  • Remove dents and replace or repair auto body components, including panels, frames and passenger compartments.
  • Perform steel and aluminum welding.
  • Prepare surfaces through sanding, grinding and filing, and apply paint.
  • Remove and install bumpers, panels, windows, windshields and sunroofs.
  • Clean and prepare vehicles before and after repairs.
  • Mix paint and perform colour matching.
  • Provide professional customer service.
  • Train and support apprentices.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Recognized auto body repair training, such as a DEP in Auto Body Repair or an equivalent qualification.
  • At least 5 years of experience in automotive collision repair, particularly with Volkswagen, Dodge, Ford, Subaru, Kia, Honda, Hyundai or GM vehicles.
  • Experience with steel and aluminum welding, as well as aluminum-body or electric vehicles.
  • Ability to work with frame-straightening equipment, 3D measuring systems and spot-welding equipment.
  • I-CAR and electric vehicle training are considered strong assets.
