Our client, a well-established manufacturing company located in Drummondville, is seeking an Automation and Electrical Technician to work on a variety of electrical and automation projects. The selected candidate will participate in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of control systems while providing technical support to the maintenance team.
Tasks
Identify the root causes of electrical and automation system failures and implement appropriate solutions.
Program and modify programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and operator interfaces (HMIs).
Design control systems and prepare the technical drawings and specifications required for projects.
Participate in project planning and monitor costs, schedules, and project progress.
Update electrical drawings, programming software, and technical documentation.
Support the electrical maintenance team to improve equipment reliability.
Ensure compliance with health and safety standards throughout project execution.
Monitor technological developments and recommend solutions to improve processes and equipment.
Perform all other related duties.

Job requirements
DEC (College Diploma) in Industrial Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, Computer Systems Technology, Electrodynamics, or an equivalent field.
Relevant experience in industrial automation, electrical project management, or construction site management.
Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and human-machine interfaces (HMIs).
Experience with Omron or Allen-Bradley PLCs.
Good knowledge of electrical control equipment.
Ability to read, modify, and maintain electrical drawings and schematics.
