The Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and preventive maintenance of residential buildings. Versatile and service-oriented, this person ensures the comfort and safety of the tenants. This position also involves participation in an on-call rotation with the existing maintenance team.

Tasks

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks in the buildings (basic plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, painting, ventilation, locks, etc.).
  • Respond to repair requests or emergencies reported by tenants.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on building systems (heating, roofing, plumbing, safety systems, etc.).
  • Assist in renovation and improvement projects within the units.
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure tenant satisfaction.
  • Strictly adhere to occupational health and safety standards.
  • Participate in the on-call rotation (approximately one week per month, with compensation).
  • Perform any other related duties as needed.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in building maintenance or related field.
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in general building maintenance, building mechanics, renovation, or equivalent training.
  • Strong technical skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, ventilation, etc.).
  • Valid driver’s license.
