Are you an apprentice or journeyperson carpenter looking for stable, year-round work? Our client, a well-established company that has been operating in the Abitibi region for over 11 years, is looking for one or two carpenters to join its team. Most of the work is carried out in La Sarre and Rouyn-Noranda, on both CCQ job sites and non-CCQ residential projects. You know how to use your tools, but more importantly, you know how to use good judgment? If you have hands-on job site experience, a resourceful attitude and aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves, you already have what it takes to fit right in with the team!

Tasks

  • Performing framing, carpentry and residential renovation work.
  • Participating in the construction and renovation of buildings according to plans and specifications.
  • Installing, assembling and repairing various wood structures.
  • Completing interior and exterior finishing work.
  • Safely operating the tools and equipment used in the trade.
  • Working closely with other team members on job sites.
  • Following all applicable health and safety standards.
  • Perform any related duties.

Job requirements

  • Experience in framing, carpentry or renovation.
  • Ability to work independently, take initiative and handle responsibilities reliably.
  • Valid CCQ competency certificate considered an asset.
  • Applications accepted from Level 2, 3 and 4 apprentices, as well as journeyperson carpenters.
  • Level 1 apprentices must have relevant construction or renovation experience.
  • Valid driver’s licence required to travel between job sites.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Availability to travel to job sites throughout the region.
