Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the design and production of small, high-precision components for the technology sector, is currently seeking a CNC Machinist to join its team.

Tasks
Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and manufacturing specifications.
Identify potential errors or inconsistencies in drawings before production begins.
Prepare, set up, and calibrate CNC machining centers, milling machines, and lathes.
Install workpieces, select cutting tools, and complete required setups.
Machine small precision components according to specified dimensions and tolerances.
Operate Okuma or Haas machines as required by production needs.
Adjust machine parameters and apply necessary tool and equipment offsets.
Verify part dimensions using precision measuring instruments.
Ensure products meet established drawings and specifications.
Detect machining issues and implement the necessary corrections.
Complete complex machining tasks within deadlines while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Record production information and use computer tools to access technical data as needed.
Collaborate with team members to meet production priorities.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Job requirements
Diploma of Vocational Studies (DVS) in Machining Techniques or equivalent manufacturing-related training.
Minimum of two years of experience in precision machining.
Relevant experience operating CNC machining centers, milling machines, or lathes.
Ability to independently perform machine setups, adjustments, calibrations, and tooling changes, sometimes several times per day.
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and manufacturing specifications in both French and English.
Proficiency with precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and ensure compliance.
Ability to maintain extremely tight dimensional tolerances, measured in millimeters and sometimes at the micron level.
Comfortable using computer systems to enter data and access technical information.
Experience with Okuma or Haas machines is considered a strong asset.
