Our client, a well-established Quebec-based company specializing in high-precision machining, is seeking a CNC Machinist - Milling Programmer to join its team. Tasks

  • Program, set up, and optimize 3- to 5-axis CNC milling machines to ensure the production of high-precision parts;
  • Prepare setups, select appropriate tooling, and plan machining operations according to technical specifications;
  • Perform machine start-ups and ensure the efficient launch of new manufacturing projects;
  • Set up, program, and operate multi-axis machining centers while meeting quality and productivity standards;
  • Analyze existing programs and recommend improvements to increase operational performance, quality, and efficiency;
  • Provide technical support to production by making required adjustments and sharing expertise with operators;
  • Actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives and manufacturing process optimization projects;
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • DEP in Machining Techniques, DEC in Mechanical Engineering, or any other relevant training;
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist Programmer specializing in milling;
  • Strong knowledge of FeatureCAM and/or ESPRIT software;
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and complex tolerances;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize manufacturing processes.
