Day shift (8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.), Evening shift (4:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.), and Night shift (12:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.)
Our client, a manufacturing company specializing in the fabrication and processing of metal components, is currently seeking several CNC Operators for its facility located in Montreal’s West Island.
More than one position is available. We are specifically looking for individuals with experience in laser cutting and combination machine operation, as well as press brake operators.

Tasks
Prepare, set up, and operate CNC equipment corresponding to your area of expertise, including a laser cutting machine, a laser/punch combination machine, or a press brake.
Review blueprints, manufacturing instructions, and production priorities before starting work.
Verify raw material specifications, including metal type, thickness, dimensions, and, when required, material orientation.
Select programs and prepare the necessary tooling according to production requirements.
Perform machine setups, tooling changes, and adjustments based on the level of autonomy expected for the position.
Produce parts while meeting established dimensions, angles, tolerances, and quality standards.
Inspect first-off parts using appropriate measuring instruments and adjust machine parameters when necessary.
Monitor production processes and intervene when situations may impact quality, safety, or productivity.
Perform finishing, identification, and sorting tasks before transferring parts to the next stage of production.
Carry out equipment inspections and basic maintenance in accordance with established procedures.
Document production activities and report issues related to equipment, programs, materials, or tooling.
For senior-level positions, participate in troubleshooting technical issues and share knowledge with less experienced operators.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements
Minimum of one year of relevant experience operating CNC metal fabrication equipment for operator-level positions.
Minimum of five years of relevant experience in laser cutting, CNC punching, or combination machine operation for senior-level positions.
Hands-on experience with a laser cutting machine, laser/punch combination machine, or CNC press brake, depending on the position applied for.
Ability to perform required setups, adjustments, and tooling changes independently, according to experience level.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing instructions.
Strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes.
Ability to use both imperial and metric measurement systems, as well as common measuring instruments.
Good mechanical aptitude and the ability to identify and correct common production issues.
Attention to detail, autonomy, reliability, and a strong commitment to quality.
Ability to work standing for extended periods, handle metal parts, and comply with health and safety regulations.
