Our client, an architecture firm located in downtown Montreal, has entrusted us with the task of recruiting a Controller for a key position within their organization.

Tasks
Plan, direct, and coordinate all operational functions related to accounting.
Manage the accounting team (1 employee).
Coordinate the activities of external auditors.
Provide the management with essential information for decision-making.
Oversee regulatory obligations, including tax planning and compliance.
Prepare the complete accounting cycle.
Close the monthly accounts.
Prepare financial statements.
Manage work in progress and record necessary adjustments.
Manage payroll, salary adjustments, and employment records.
Process expense accounts (via payroll).
Ensure follow-up and communication with CIBC, Revenu Québec, CNESST, clients, consultants, etc.
Verify bank reconciliation.
Handle all other related tasks.

Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance.
Minimum of three years of experience in a similar position within a service company – essential.
Proficiency in spoken and written French.
Experience in financial strategy – an asset.
Experience in ERP system implementation – an asset.
