Do you enjoy solving mechanical problems and machining one-of-a-kind parts rather than working in high-volume production? Our client is looking for a Conventional Machinist capable of machining, repairing, and refurbishing a wide variety of industrial components. You will work on different projects every week, with a high level of autonomy and access to a specialized machine shop where your expertise will be truly valued.
You will primarily operate conventional lathes, milling machines, and other manual equipment to repair, refurbish, or manufacture custom industrial components. In this role, the machinist is actively involved in analyzing parts, selecting machining methods, manufacturing components, and performing final quality inspections.

Tasks
Perform machining operations on industrial components requiring repair, refurbishment, or rebuilding.
Complete high-precision mechanical adjustments and fitting work.
Machine large-scale parts according to engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Conduct accurate dimensional inspections and quality control checks.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Participate in custom fabrication and one-off manufacturing projects.
Work closely with shop supervisors and team members to determine the most effective machining methods.
Maintain the high-quality standards expected by industrial customers.

Job requirements
Experience as a Conventional Machinist or in a similar machining role.
Experience in repair machining or custom manufacturing.
Excellent ability to read technical drawings and use precision measuring instruments.
Strong interest in repair machining and component restoration.
Comfortable working on one-off parts and custom projects rather than high-volume production runs.
Resourceful and capable of working independently.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to precision.
Ability to develop practical and effective machining solutions.
