Our client, an innovative company in the technology and logistics sector, is currently seeking a Customs and Transportation Technician to support its operations. The position is based in Quebec City and is ideal for an organized individual looking to grow in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same. We are looking for a professional with initial experience in international logistics or customs management to join a rapidly growing team.

Tasks

  • Plan and coordinate local and international shipments.
  • Prepare and validate the documentation required for the transportation of goods.
  • Track deliveries for both imports and exports.
  • Verify the accuracy of carrier invoices according to established agreements.
  • Review customs declarations and make necessary corrections.
  • Collaborate with customs brokers and other external partners.
  • Maintain up-to-date information related to customs classifications.
  • Perform cycle counts and ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Process transactions related to work orders in internal systems.
  • Prepare documentation required for daily operations.
  • Participate in the receiving and handling of goods.
  • Organize product storage and maintain a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Manage samples and ensure accurate tracking.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Education in transportation, logistics, or international trade.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Good understanding of Incoterms.
  • Advanced level of English, both spoken and written; must use English approximately 50% of the time with English-speaking clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple files simultaneously with precision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Versatility and adaptability in a changing environment.
  • Interest in technology and continuous improvement.
