Tasks

  • Deliver practical and theoretical training in defensive driving.
  • Assess the skills of new drivers through simulations or road tests.
  • Observe and support drivers in equipment usage, inspections, and onboard technology.
  • Provide on-site coaching to ensure tasks are carried out safely and independently.
  • Offer ongoing coaching on safe delivery techniques and driving best practices.
  • Identify training needs and recommend adjustments or complementary modules.
  • Conduct follow-ups after incidents or risky behaviors.
  • Participate in the analysis of events and incidents, in collaboration with the operations and safety teams.
  • Travel to other sites when needed.
  • Contribute to various internal safety and compliance initiatives.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • Valid Class 3 driver’s license (Class 1 considered an asset).
  • Hands-on experience driving heavy or commercial vehicles.
  • Knowledge of safe handling practices for fuel or hazardous materials (an asset).
  • Strong understanding of road transport laws and safety standards.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Availability for occasional travel to other sites.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written, required for constant communication with head office (100% of the time).
