Our client, a fast-growing company specializing in the design and manufacturing of automated solutions, is looking for an Electrical Assembly Technician to join its team in Lachine.

Tasks

  • Assemble, install, and test electrical, electronic, and electromechanical components used in automation systems (controllers, modules, sensors, motors).
  • Perform wiring, harness assembly, and cable assemblies according to electrical schematics and IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards.
  • Assemble, solder, and rework electronic boards (PCBs) in compliance with IPC/WHMA-A-610 standards.
  • Install required software and perform functional testing of automated components.
  • Collaborate with the production team to ensure the quality, reliability, and compliance of assemblies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to processes, documentation, and components to optimize performance and manufacturability.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment.
  • Perform any other related duties.

Job requirements

  • DEC or DEP in electronics, electrotechnics, or a related field (required).
  • Minimum of one (1) year of experience in electrical or electronic assembly.
  • Knowledge of IPC/WHMA-A-620 and IPC/WHMA-A-610 standards (an asset).
  • Experience in quality assurance (an asset).
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, technical drawings, and production documents.
  • Knowledge of soldering methods for wiring and electronic circuit boards.
  • Experience in electrical assembly and sub-system wiring in a production environment.
