We are seeking a qualified electrician for a temporary assignment in an industrial environment. In addition to applying your expertise in electrical installation, wiring, maintenance, inspection and troubleshooting, you will be responsible for observing and analyzing workplace situations and documenting information objectively and accurately. As part of this assignment, you must be able to adapt quickly to different work environments, exercise discretion and pay close attention to detail. Your role will involve documenting findings, gathering relevant information and communicating your observations clearly, factually and professionally. We are looking for a resourceful, self-sufficient individual with sound judgment who can assess situations carefully while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality. Strong observation, adaptability and report-writing skills are essential.

Tasks

  • Installing electrical equipment and systems.
  • Wiring electrical equipment.
  • Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical installations.
  • Inspecting electrical equipment and systems.
  • Diagnosing and resolving electrical issues.
  • Performing various electrical tasks in an industrial environment.
  • Adapting quickly to different work environments.
  • Observing and analyzing workplace situations.
  • Documenting specific situations factually and accurately.
  • Communicating collected information thoroughly and precisely.
  • Maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Job requirements

  • Training in electricity, electromechanics, automation or industrial systems maintenance; or
  • A recognized certification or professional qualification authorizing electrical work in an industrial environment, such as a CCQ competency card or a non-construction electrical licence.
  • Ability to meet the screening and authorization requirements associated with the assignment.
  • Satisfactory professional references.
  • Professionalism, discretion and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
