We are currently looking for an External Sales Representative to join a dynamic team and actively contribute to the growth of parts and services sales for heavy trucks. Our client is a well-established company recognized for its expertise and innovative approach, offering comprehensive solutions and high-quality services to its customers. As part of its expansion on the North Shore and the West Island of Montreal, the company is seeking a proactive, professional, and customer-focused individual to fill this role.

Tasks

  • Actively promote the full range of replacement parts and services for heavy trucks.
  • Identify clients’ specific needs and recommend tailored solutions to maximize satisfaction.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets while ensuring profitability.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients through high-quality customer service.
  • Prospect new clients through on-site visits, phone calls, and participation in industry events.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of parts, services, and market trends in the heavy truck industry.
  • Provide relevant and personalized technical advice to clients.
  • Participate in training programs to keep technical skills and knowledge up to date.
  • Ensure regular follow-ups with clients to guarantee satisfaction and efficiently resolve any issues or complaints.
  • Perform any other related tasks assigned by the immediate supervisor, contributing to team success and company growth.

Job requirements

  • College or university diploma in Business Administration, or equivalent experience in sales and transportation.
  • Minimum of 5 years of external sales experience, ideally in the heavy vehicle industry.
  • Experience in visit planning, account development, and effective time and territory management.
  • Strong ability to close sales while meeting and exceeding established targets.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build long-term client relationships.
  • Valid driver’s license and availability for frequent travel.
