Field Mechanic (On the Road) – Forklifts & Lifting Equipment

Schedule
Day shift, Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:15 p.m., and Friday from 7:00 a.m. to noon.

Your playground: working directly at client sites to ensure the maintenance and repair of a wide range of lifting and handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks (manual and electric), stackers, hoists, workshop cranes, jib cranes, winches, lift tables, aerial work platforms, freight lifts, reach trucks, and much more.

Tasks

  • Inspect, diagnose, and assess the condition of lifting machines and industrial equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and electronic).
  • Ensure proper operation of equipment after each intervention.
  • Identify and order necessary parts and components (motors, forks, batteries, wheels, hydraulic systems, etc.).
  • Write technical reports, work orders, and inspection follow-ups.
  • Collaborate with the team to improve maintenance processes.
  • Perform any other tasks related to mobile service.

Job requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in industrial or mobile mechanics.
  • Hands-on experience with forklifts, stackers, pallet jacks, cranes, hoists, or aerial lifts is essential.
  • Strong technical knowledge of lifting and handling equipment.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
  • Availability for occasional travel (Montréal, Trois-Rivières, Gaspésie – approx. 5%), with the rest of the work based in the Québec City area.
