Our client, a local pride and international leader in the shrimp industry, is looking for a Fixed Machinery Mechanic. This role requires a Class 4A or 4B driver’s license and involves operating, maintaining, and repairing fixed machinery and mechanical equipment to keep production running smoothly.

Tasks
Perform preventive maintenance and upkeep of fixed machinery and industrial equipment, including steam boilers, compressors, and ammonia refrigeration systems across two Gaspe Coast sites.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic breakdowns to ensure continuous production.
Maintain maintenance logs, recording pressure, temperature, and performance readings of industrial equipment.
Install, calibrate, and adjust new industrial equipment and mechanical components according to standards and specifications.
Participate in industrial inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure safety and compliance with factory standards.
Collaborate with the production team and supervisors to plan interventions and optimize the operation of industrial equipment.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
Valid Class 5 and Class 4A or 4B driver’s license.
Diploma in Fixed Machinery Mechanics (DEP) or equivalent experience in industrial machine maintenance and repair.
Knowledge of industrial refrigeration systems, steam boilers, and compressors.
Ability to read and interpret plans, schematics, and technical documents related to fixed machinery.
Desired profile
