In this role, the incumbent directly contributes to the smooth flow of transportation operations by ensuring order follow-ups, data entry, information flow, and coordination between clients and internal teams for the company’s flatbed division. This position requires strong familiarity with transportation-related computer systems, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously in a fast-paced environment where priorities can change quickly. Our client, a well-established Quebec-based company in the transportation and logistics industry, is looking to welcome a Flatbed Logistics Clerk to its team. The successful candidate will play a key role in the administrative management of transportation files, client communications follow-ups, and daily operational support, working closely with dispatch, department management, and the billing team.

Tasks

  • Receive, analyze, and process incoming customer emails.
  • Create orders in the internal system and ensure administrative follow-ups.
  • Update operational files and information in the system.
  • Coordinate follow-ups related to customer requests to support smooth operations.
  • Work closely with the dispatch team to ensure efficient information flow.
  • Support the department manager with daily operational follow-ups.
  • Collaborate closely with the billing team for required follow-ups.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and up-to-date records in the system.
  • Ensure diligent follow-up of orders and related communications.
  • Contribute to operational efficiency by effectively coordinating communication between all stakeholders.
  • Perform any other related tasks linked to the position.

Job requirements

  • Relevant experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, or administrative coordination in a similar environment.
  • Experience in logistics within a transportation company, ideally in the flatbed sector.
  • Experience in a role involving file, order, and customer communication follow-ups.
  • Good understanding of the realities of road transportation in an operational environment. Knowledge of maritime and rail transportation is considered an asset.
  • Strong computer skills, including ERP and CRM systems, and data entry.
  • Professional, service-oriented approach with strong coordination skills.
  • Excellent command of both French and English, spoken and written, as approximately 50% of client communications are conducted in English.
