Tasks

  • Plan the return of vehicles for inspection based on the established schedule and operational needs.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with operations teams regarding the current and future condition of the fleet.
  • Manage and monitor the garage's daily schedule.
  • Keep maintenance records up to date and generate required reports, including service calls.
  • Coordinate, authorize, and follow up on repairs handled by external suppliers.
  • Assess repair proposals and recommend the most cost-effective and efficient solutions.
  • Respond to service calls from drivers, vehicle attendants, or clients.
  • Organize and monitor on-road mechanical interventions.
  • Quickly evaluate requests and find suitable solutions to various situations.
  • Perform any other tasks related to mechanical operations.

Job requirements

  • 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role or a related field.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Knowledge of systems such as AS400.
  • English is rarely required for this position (about 5% of the time for communication with colleagues).
  • Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in heavy vehicle or diesel mechanics (an asset).
