Reporting to the Health & Safety leadership team, the Health & Safety Coordinator will play a key role in supporting and strengthening safety practices across operations. This is a hands-on, field-oriented role within a heavy industrial environment, where you will act as a trusted advisor to operations, ensuring compliance, coaching teams, and driving a strong safety culture across the site and surrounding operations.
Tasks
Support operational teams in the implementation and continuous improvement of health and safety programs, policies, and procedures.
Provide on-site coaching and guidance to supervisors and employees on safety best practices and regulatory requirements.
Ensure compliance with CNESST standards and actively manage relationships related to workplace incidents and claims.
Participate in incident investigations and support corrective action plans.
Assist in the development and implementation of safe work procedures, particularly for high-risk activities.
Deliver health and safety training programs aligned with legislative and corporate requirements.
Promote a proactive safety culture and ensure adherence to all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Collaborate with management to improve loss prevention and risk mitigation strategies.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
College diploma or university degree in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
5 to 7 years of experience in a health and safety role within a heavy industrial environment
Strong knowledge of CNESST regulations and experience managing workplace claims
Bilingualism in French and English required to communicate with employees from anglophone provinces (40% of the time)
Hands-on, field-oriented mindset with strong presence on-site
Ability to influence, coach, and build credibility with operational teams
Strong adaptability and ability to operate in a complex, evolving environment
Experience with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and SAP considered an asset
