Tasks

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment.
  • Assess the required work and plan the necessary interventions.
  • Perform repairs, adjustments, and component replacements according to manufacturer standards.
  • Conduct functional tests after repairs to ensure equipment performance and reliability.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and regular mechanical inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
  • Document interventions performed (work time, technical reports, warranties).
  • Collaborate with the workshop team and follow priorities set by supervision.
  • Perform any other related tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the workshop.

Job requirements

  • DEP in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training combined with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery mechanics.
  • SIMDUT card, forklift, overhead crane.
  • Experience with construction or industrial equipment (an asset).
