Tasks

  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on heavy equipment at client sites.
  • Identify the source of failures and determine the necessary repairs.
  • Assess the required work and estimate the intervention timeframes.
  • Plan and carry out repairs on the road autonomously and safely.
  • Adjust, repair, or replace defective components according to manufacturer standards.
  • Order the necessary parts and follow up on repairs.
  • Conduct functional tests after each intervention.
  • Perform routine maintenance and some preventive inspections in the field.
  • Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
  • Strictly follow health and safety regulations.
  • Complete technical reports, timesheets, and required documents.
  • Perform other related tasks as needed.

Job requirements

  • DEP in Heavy Equipment Mechanics or equivalent training combined with relevant experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy equipment or construction machinery mechanics.
  • SIMDUT card, forklift, overhead crane.
  • Experience with construction or industrial equipment (an asset).
