Tasks

  • Perform general maintenance, repairs, and overhauls on heavy vehicles, motorized equipment, and machinery, focusing on major mechanical components.
  • Carry out accurate diagnostics to identify issues and determine required interventions.
  • Replace, adjust, and repair defective parts according to current standards.
  • Perform regular preventive maintenance to anticipate breakdowns and ensure proper equipment operation.
  • Carry out various welding tasks required for repairs.
  • Safely handle and move heavy vehicles, and pick up parts from suppliers as needed.
  • Properly use lifting equipment, including forklifts.
  • Assist with any other related tasks supporting mechanical operations as needed.

Job requirements

  • DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in heavy road vehicle mechanics.
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Class 1 driver’s license (or willingness to obtain it).
  • P.E.P. card (asset).
  • Experience driving heavy vehicles (asset).
  • Valid work authorization in Canada.
