Reporting to the Mechanical Foreman, the Heavy Vehicle Mechanic will be primarily responsible for performing preventive maintenance and repairs on a fleet of heavy vehicles and trailers while ensuring the performance, safety, and reliability of the equipment on a daily basis.
Tasks
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on the fleet of trucks and trailers.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other technical failures.
Use advanced diagnostic tools to efficiently identify and resolve issues.
Diagnose, adjust, correct, assemble, disassemble, and repair various vehicle components in the shop.
Complete repairs within the established service timelines.
Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements
DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.
PEP certification (an asset).
Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.

Comfortable handling unexpected situations in a workshop environment.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
