Our client is looking for a heavy vehicle mechanic to join their workshop team in a permanent full-time position. They are not simply looking to fill a role, but to bring in a professional capable of making accurate diagnoses, working efficiently, and directly contributing to the reliability of the vehicles handled in the shop.
This role will allow you to be actively involved at the core of mechanical operations in the workshop. Your contribution will go far beyond performing repairs: you will need to understand issues, make the right assessments, work methodically, and restore vehicles to proper working condition with precision. Tasks
Analyze file information and observations made in the workshop in order to establish accurate diagnostics.
Identify the source of issues and determine the required interventions.
Perform necessary mechanical repairs following established work methods.
Work on various vehicle components according to established quality standards.
Inspect the overall condition of vehicles to identify any additional maintenance or repair needs.
Accurately document completed work and technical findings.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workshop operations.
Properly use tools, equipment, and materials provided.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace.
Participate in training sessions to keep technical knowledge up to date.
Perform any other related tasks required for the proper functioning of the workshop.

Job requirements
Experience in the repair and maintenance heavy-duty vehicles, including trucks, trailers, SUVs, and cargo vans, in a similar role in Quebec.
Diploma or training in heavy-duty vehicle mechanics, diesel mechanics, heavy equipment mechanics, or a related field is considered a strong asset.
Excellent ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
Strong proficiency with electronic diagnostic tools.
Experience in advanced diagnostics, including electronics, engines, and related systems.
Toolbox suited to the requirements of the position.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the role.
Adaptability and comfort working in a changing environment.
Cummins certifications, MX Paccar, and PEP card: assets.
