Tasks

  • Locate breakdowns, identify causes, perform necessary repairs, and test repaired equipment or components to ensure optimal performance as quickly as possible.
  • Carry out work according to established priorities, equipment availability, and required materials.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and availability.
  • Ensure the proper functioning of production equipment and the continuous operation of the production line.

Job requirements

  • Diploma or training in industrial mechanics.
  • Experience with TIG welding on stainless steel (strong asset).
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience in a unionized and food processing environment.
  • Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), occupational health and safety, and compliance with OHS regulations.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
  • Good manual dexterity and ability to work standing for extended periods.
