Tasks
Your role will involve advising clients on labor and employment law, developing strategies for managing workplace relations, representing them before administrative and judicial bodies, and actively contributing to the development of the firm’s business.
Advise and assist employers in labor and employment law, both in terms of prevention and managing complex situations.
Develop legal strategies in workplace relations, including conflict management, disciplinary measures, and sensitive cases.
Represent clients before administrative and judicial courts, including the Labor Relations Board, grievance arbitrators, and civil courts.
Prepare and conduct litigation files, including legal analysis, drafting procedures, preparing witnesses, and making oral representations.
Actively participate in hearings, investigations, and mediations, defending clients' interests with rigor and efficiency.
Draft legal opinions, strategic advice, procedures, and agreements on various labor law and OHS cases.
Stay up-to-date with case law and legislative developments to adapt representation and litigation strategies.
Perform any other related tasks.

Job requirements
Must be a member in good standing with the Barreau du Québec.
5 to 10 years of experience in labor and employment law.
Bilingualism (French and English) both spoken and written to communicate with English-speaking clients (30% of the time).
Proficient in legal research tools and search engines.
Significant experience representing clients before administrative bodies and specialized labor courts.
Knowledge of the municipal or education sector (an asset).
Experience in occupational health and safety law (an asset).
