Our client, a well-established transportation company committed to delivering outstanding services, is currently looking to fill a key position in the Pointe-aux-Trembles area.
As a Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for both service execution and the overall success of operations. This position reports directly to the Director of Operations.
Tasks
Manage driver teams, equipment, and resources for specific client accounts, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods.
Coordinate schedules and confirm driver departures, including contacting contract drivers one hour before route start times when required.
Monitor driver routes using the Transportation Management System (TMS) and manage unforeseen events in real time.
Communicate with clients to keep them informed and escalate issues to the Director of Operations when necessary.
Handle last-minute client requests while keeping all stakeholders informed.
Interact with service providers in accordance with the purchase order process.
Receive and process pickup requests and driver documentation submissions (timesheets, proof of delivery, etc.).
Provide drivers with required tools such as logbooks, route sheets, and safety equipment (locks and secure connection devices).
Train drivers on client-specific operational and administrative procedures.
Identify growth opportunities within customer accounts to expand the company’s presence and services.
Perform any other tasks assigned by the Director of Operations.

Job requirements
Minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation, including supervisory or management experience.
Proficiency in industry software, particularly Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
Dangerous Goods Transportation certification.
Knowledge of industry regulations (hours of service, safety standards, market conditions).
Commercial driver’s license (heavy vehicle) and ability to operate a forklift.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to make quick decisions and manage unexpected situations.
Experience transporting bulk solid and/or liquid goods is an asset.
