Our client, a well-established international manufacturing company in the food industry, is looking for a Logistics Technician to join its team for an 18-month replacement contract, with the possibility of becoming permanent. Reporting to the Logistics Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating receiving and shipping activities while supporting and collaborating daily with various departments throughout the plant. This versatile position combines coordination, administrative follow-up, and hands-on involvement in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Tasks
Coordinate daily receiving and shipping activities.
Participate in the management of nationwide shipments and coordinate product transfers between warehouses.
Process and follow up on orders in SAP, including order receipt, required corrections, and purchase order submissions to selected suppliers.
Create purchase requisitions and follow up on supplier orders.
Validate pricing discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders in collaboration with the Buyer.
Support the Buyer and various plant departments with purchasing and logistics needs.
Perform physical receiving tasks, verify incoming goods, and ensure proper distribution or inventory placement.
Welcome carriers and suppliers and manage their arrivals, departures, and required documentation.
Verify transportation documents and quality-related documentation associated with inbound and outbound shipments.
Maintain up-to-date purchasing and logistics records, as well as tracking tools.
Conduct inventory counts and ensure the accuracy of stock information.
Prepare documentation required for the shipment of residual materials and participate in various purchasing and logistics projects.
Perform all other related duties and manage projects as requested.

Job requirements
DEC in Logistics, Operations Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of one year of relevant logistics experience in a similar role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
Experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory management.
Experience working with an ERP system, preferably SAP.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Excellent command of French, both spoken and written.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and follow-up activities.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities.
Self-sufficiency, resourcefulness, and initiative.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with various stakeholders.
Ability to work in both administrative and operational environments requiring regular presence on the production floor.
Professional English (approximately 30% of internal communications and communications with carriers are conducted in English).
Experience in purchasing and within the food industry will be considered a significant asset.
