Tasks
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines (mills, lathes, grinders).
Use manual machining tools (drill presses, surface grinders, conventional lathes).
Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and precision.
Read and interpret technical drawings and digital files.
Verify dimensions using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators).
Select cutting tools and fixturing devices based on the materials used.
Perform basic equipment maintenance and report any issues.
Conduct in-process and final inspections.
Record production data and maintain accurate documentation.
Adhere to collective agreements and union protocols.
Participate in safety meetings and contribute to collaborative problem-solving.
Perform any other related duties as required.

Job requirements
Recognized apprenticeship diploma in machining and/or equivalent experience.
Proficiency in CNC programming (e.g., G-code) and manual machining techniques.
Strong knowledge of machining principles.
Solid understanding of metallurgy.
Familiarity with occupational health and safety standards.
