Looking for a unique experience in Northern Quebec, working in a camp surrounded by nature? This job is for you! Our client, a key player in the development of clean and renewable energy to build a green economy in Quebec, is seeking a Maintenance Technician for its camp located in the Unorganized Territory (TNO) of Rivière-aux-Outardes, on a 14 days on / 14 days off schedule.

Tasks

  • Ensure the maintenance of employee residence buildings (changing light bulbs, snow removal, maintaining plumbing, ventilation and the fire protection system, etc.).
  • Manage the camp's small hardware store.
  • Complete the equipment inspection sheets and keep the register up to date.
  • Carry out daily checks related to the proper functioning of the plant's drinking water treatment and wastewater system.
  • Complete a report of the maintenance tasks carried out.
  • Perform all other tasks related to your position.

Job requirements

  • You have in hand your secondary school diploma (DES) AND a diploma in a relevant trade (carpenter, plumber, electrician or refrigeration engineer).
  • You have acquired 2 to 3 years of experience in a similar position.
  • Be able to lift heavy loads if necessary.
  • You have a class 5 driving license to travel around the camp.
  • You have ASP construction training.

  • It goes without saying that you are good with your hands and love crafts.
  • Curious by nature, you find satisfaction in tinkering with a solution to any problem.
  • When you see that a repair needs to be made, you take care of it quickly.
